SERVE Team: TAC Meals

Do you long to be Jesus' hands and feet to the poor and marginalized in our community? Are you able to put together a hot meal and/ or sandwiches and some snacks? If so, then our Toronto Alliance Church (TAC) Meals Team is for you! 

For 2024, TAC have returned to providing a sit-down hot meal for people experiencing homelessness in downtown Toronto. Every 3-4 months, Bayview Glen Church aim to provide food for up to 200 people; including around 120 sandwich meal bags, and now hot meals (soup/ chilli) to serve 50-60 guests, and transport them to TAC  The meals and meal bags are then served/ distributed by staff and volunteers  

Time Commitment - On March 30, June 29, August 31 and November 30, 2024
  • Hot food and Meal bags are dropped off at Bayview Glen Church between 12 and 1 PM
 on the 5th Saturday.
  • Volunteers transport food to TAC.
  • Volunteers to serve the meals.

We will be contacting you shortly to learn more about you and to discuss this SERVE opportunity.

You will receive an email at the beginning of any month that has 5 Saturdays with more information about what to include in the meal bags. The email will also contain a link to a sign-up form where you can commit to making a certain type and number of sandwich meal bags for that month, or to transporting meal bags to Toronto Alliance Church (TAC).
